inLighten Enlarges Technology Campus with Acquisition of National Fuel Gas Property

Clarence-based Digital Media Company Plans for Future Expansion of Global Resource Center

Nov. 6, 2012

inLighten®, a leading worldwide provider of digital media solutions announced today that it has agreed to purchase a 2.4 acre parcel from National Fuel Gas adjacent to its corporate headquarters at 9645 Wehrle Drive in the town of Clarence. The company said it anticipates closing on the property within the next 45 days.

According to inLighten President and CEO, Dan Snyder, the purchase enables inLighten to continue its strategic expansion as growth in the company’s core businesses accelerates. "Digital Out-of-Home Media is a $7Billion global industry that has seen strong growth over the past decade and shows no sign of slowing." Snyder points to inLighten’s recently released line of hand-held PeTE™ e-tablets and free-standing kiosks as evidence of the rapid evolution of products being used by both consumers and businesses. "As we create the solutions of the future and bring them to market, this acquisition puts inLighten in a position to deploy additional resources and add talented individuals to help our company pursue its mission."

inLighten moved to Clarence in early 2011 after acquiring and renovating the former headquarters of Greatbach Inc., a 45,000 square foot facility that now houses a majority of inLighten’s development and network operations. The company anticipates about a 20% growth in staff over the next 18-24 months. "We believe that our location is one of our assets," said Snyder. "It’s convenient for both air and ground travel and the Clarence community is very attractive to the highly skilled professionals we seek to recruit. We’ve just re-located two software professionals from the New York metro area to participate in the expansion of our newly formed tablet development group, and the community and surrounding amenities played an important role in their decision to join us. We’re very pleased that we’ll be able to offer these advantages for years to come, and appreciate the way our neighbors, National Fuel Gas, worked with us to make this deal a reality."
